Ranter Works (2011)

Choose whichever. I’m trying to fill out the homepage portion of the post.
Roberto has spent five years working on his robot, but a rival scientist sees it as a perfect testing ground for his virus. Not sure if he planned for it to activate early, try to rescue a dog from being petted by the security guards while running from a fluffy stray who wants to be his friend. I’m also pretty sure neither of them expected him to try to save a woman from a burning building, with a second, stuttery program trying to unlock one of his gadgets to do so. Not that either of them know this happened yet.
What they got right: Fresh out of the box (literally) and all the robot (who I guess would get named Mark later if he had a second issue) wants to do is help people. He’s a bit confused since he just came online but that’s part of the fun. We have a mystery as to what is his actual programming and what’s the virus. I like the art style and the nod to Astro Boy’s creator in the computer virus creator. This has fertile ground for some fun adventures.
What they got wrong: There are no further adventures.
What I think overall: I want more issues. This is a fun comic and I wouldn’t mind seeing more if he ever comes up with more stories for him.
