I’m just wondering what she was going to use it for?

Over at The Clutter Reports this week my search for a place to put my software led to finding…more software. At least I found that game I was looking for.

I’m close to being done with the video review but as usual I’m having trouble reaching the deadline. On the plus side I am trying to work out a system that will speed me up in the future. That may be part of the delay but in the long run I can put stuff out faster. Now if I can just do that with everything else. I may try to get a Sing Me A Story article in this week but no splashy reports beyond that. A lot of the time I’m pretty much deciding what I want to talk about “today” and that defines what’s coming out, and sometimes it’s based on current events.

Meanwhile I experimented a bit last week with video clips instead of just article links. I’m trying to diversify content here at the Spotlight while remaining true to the mission of examining the art of storytelling. Did it work for you folks or do you just want article links? I’m not getting rid of those, I just want more options. I like having options.

It looks like you did well finding that extra software. I look forward to checking out the Power Masters videos you posted.

I read Gobots issue #5 (last issue in the five issue limited series) today, and the ending basically set it up that the Gobots are the ancestors of the Transformers. In the last few pages, I met the ancestors (basically fathers) of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. According to writer and artist Tom Scioli, the fathers of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and other Transformers are basically Gobots. Also, both Leader-1 and Cy-Kill were bad guys who had grudges against each other and created divisions among the Gobots instead of unifying them. Both Leader-1 and Cy-Kill were killed off in these comics. This was definitely not the Gobots of my youth, but I still enjoyed this recent comic series, and hope for more to come of the Gobots in comics!

If I want some some classic Gobots comic strips, I guess I need to track down some old issues of Gobots Magazine.
