Nowadays writers seem to want to focus on politics rather than storytelling, and it doesn’t matter which side is doing it. It’s wrong either way and will just cause people to lose interest even when they agree with you. However, if you really need or want to do it, author James Harrington offers a suggestion on how to do it right.

This really speaks to me. Why isolate audiences with political BS? We already have enough of that punching us in the face every damn day

The problem is you have people more interested in pushing a message than telling a story. The sad thing some of them used to be good storytellers.

There are a lot of activists pretending to be artists and when good writers jump on that bandwagon it just ruins the craft

Politics and society concepts have clouded people’s minds so much, finding writers and artists capable of telling good and straightforward superhero stories is difficult.

If the defunct Ultraverse (now under Marvel ownership) comics franchise would be revived with brand new artists and writers handling it, I can imagine it being ruined with contemporary political concepts.
