I though this was one of those specials Hallmark put out to promote that year’s special Christmas offering at their stores. However, the Christmas fan wiki says this was actually produced by Toys R Us (remember them?), in cooperation with Film Roman and Bohbot Entertainment. The story follows a cat named Noel who has to deal with their new neighbor’s dog, Nick, living in a duplex. The owners don’t get along but the daughter makes friends with both Noelle and Nick, who must come together to get her letter to Santa Claus. Can they get Sarah a mother for Christmas?
Hey, if I can’t mess with the internet why have a website? I know there’s this no-fun section of the internet who really doesn’t like Barney The Dinosaur but it’s hard for me to hate a show that promotes imagination, creativity, play, and fun. In what I’m assuming is a home video release called Barney And The Backyard Gang (the TV show was called Barney & Friends) a new kid in the neighborhood wants friends for Christmas and to make sure Santa Claus has his new address. Barney is able to bring him both. Enjoy…or suffer. You’re the one who clicked the play button.
I could find nothing about this special, so I don’t know if this was part of a series, a failed pilot disguised as a Christmas special, or if it was based on anything. Still, it was a fun little special about aliens trying to help kids find their Christmas tree stand and learn about the season.
