When The Doctor Was FULL Human

You know that line in the Doctor Who TV movie where the Doctor says out of nowhere “I’m half human on my other’s side”? I’m one of the very few who found potential in that, but did you know that had the winds of fate gone a different direction the Doctor would have been all human? Yes, in the early days of the series even the creators weren’t sure where the old man and his granddaughter came from. Did the Doctor come from an alien species of space/time travelers? Or were the Peter Cushing films more accurate and he was an old man who built his own time machine that was bigger on the inside and named by his granddaughter?

YouTube video producer Dalek 63-88 looks into the early days and origin of the man we know today as a Time Lord from the planet Galifrey (also currently a woman as of this writing) and the division in the writing team between “alien” and “human”.

NORAD Still Tracking Santa

Considering the issues of this year Jolly Ol’ St. Nick could use a fighter escort. If this seems like a poor use of taxpayer money you should watch the video below. It’s all volunteer but there’s a reason NORAD Tracks Santa has happened for 65 years.

The official website has a new game every day, Christmas music, and other Christmas flavor, plus on Christmas Eve your kids can track Santa through the site or the app to know when it’s time to go to bed.

Honest Doctor Who Trailers

All the Doctors they could find.

Doctor Who has been around a very very long time, took a break, and come back for a very very long time. Whether you prefer to stick with the classic series, are only interested in the new series, or just love the whole franchise even when it makes a mistake there’s a Who for you. The show is malleable while still finding a way to to, until recently, stay pretty true to itself even if the timeline is a mess and half +5X18.pi.

Honest Trailers is a popular YouTube show on the Screen Junkies channel that pokes fun at TV shows and movies by making trailers that hilariously tells you what the show is “really” about from a certain perspective.

So what happens when the Oncoming Storm means the Epic Voice Guy? Honestly, the videos are right below. They made two separate trailers for Classic Who and New Who. But sadly nothing for the Peter Cushing movies. They need to fix that.

BW’s Daily Article Link: How Scooby’s Creators Met

This year we lost both of Scooby-Doo’s creators, Joe Ruby and Ken Spears. They left Hanna-Barbera to create their own studio, Ruby-Spears Productions, and between the two studios some of my favorite shows came about. However, the canine detective was not their first collaboration. ME-TV’s website goes over the story of how the creators met thanks to one of HB’s other canine heroes.

Chapter By Chapter> BattleTech: I Am Jade Falcon chapter 7

Chapter By Chapter features me reading one chapter of the selected book at the time and reviewing it as if I were reviewing an episode of a TV show or an issue of a comic. There will be spoilers if you haven’t read to the point I have, and if you’ve read further I ask that you don’t spoil anything further into the book. Think of it as read-along book club.

Last chapter we met the “infamous” Star Colonel Ravill Pryde, who certainly is full of his last name…and a few other terms I can’t use in polite company. The man’s boastful and I guess charismatic but he’s also full of himself considering his war record consists of the Jade Falcon equivalent of an MMA fight with giant robots.

I’m guessing this chapter we’ll find out the results of Joanna’s lack of kissing his backside in the meeting last time. Date and location haven’t really changed so let’s jump into it.
