Yes, a lot of this were about toys but it was also about Transformers media even I wasn’t aware of. Usually you only here about American and Japanese stuff, with a little about the UK’s offerings, but a lot of this was news to me. If you want to see these future looks at the international originals keep an eye on Chris McFeely’s YouTube channel.

Between a family gathering yesterday and a family emergency today (don’t worry, everyone’s fine) plus getting yesterday’s video out there is no Jake & Leon or Clutter Report this week. There are however updates as to what’s coming up. With hopefully that all behind us I’m planning to complete the He-Man Newspaper strips this week with my final thoughts, and a review of the book collecting them for the next Clutter Report. The last of the Pirates Of Dark Water comics I own (I didn’t even complete the original miniseries) will be coming out this week. I don’t know if I’ll be able to work on that video review this week or not, but I plan to get it out eventually.
There’s some other backstage stuff I’ll be working on and I don’t know if you’ll see the results this week or not. I will have a new Saturday Night Showcase though. Otherwise, nothing else to report. Have a great week.
We interrupt our usual Saturday Night Showcase for some interviews. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to do any of these and this year’s Free Comic Book Day at Legends Of Superheroes, at their new home in Oakville, Connecticut, offered me the chance. In this video I interview comic artist Mark Texeira, illustrator Frank Malec, and storyboard artist Robert Castillo. Enjoy.

Disney has gotten really huge in recent years with their acquisitions of Lucasfilm, Marvel, and more recently Fox among their many owned production companies and their upcoming streaming empire. Disney has really pushed themselves as a multimedia entertainment juggernaut. However, it hasn’t been a perfect run. Their Star Wars films have gotten lukewarm (no pun intended) to very angry responses, the latest Marvel movie is their most controversial, and people are still worried 20th Century Fox will no longer show R movies despite Disney’s other companies not under the Disney banner still making R movies.
Recently Disney announced their upcoming schedule for the next few years and Andre of Midnight’s Edge looks into what this schedule means for Marvel and Star Wars movies as well as what will come out from the latest member of the Disney family. Be warned that there’s a visual swear in this video.
