I said in yesterday’s article that there was something in the Supergirl seat belt PSA comic that there was a scene that was FNF worthy. Of course, I thought last week’s entry would have granted me at least one vote, so what do I know? I know what I like and that’s what I post.
So if you missed last night’s article, here’s the gist of it. Supergirl’s boyfriend, Steve Gordon, was in a car accident and is now having coma dreams in which his sister is hurt (she survived the actual accident without a scratch…she doesn’t even look like that collision with the steering wheel did a dang thing), all so Supergirl can convince him to wear a seat belt by using her cousin’s machine to jump into his dreams. Comics, everybody!

“Maxim” round 4
The Battlefield: Supergirl seat belt PSA comic (DC Comics/American Honda/US Dept. of Transportation; sometime in 1984)
The Promoters: Joe Orlando, Barry Marx & Robert Loren Fleming (writers), Andy Helfer (dialogue) Angelo Torres (artist), John Costanza (letterer) and Joe Orlando (colorist)
So the first dream has “Gord-On” going for fuel to save his village, while some bad guys want to stop them so the villagers die as part of their plan to….have the villagers die. Geez, Iran can at least tell you WHY they want to wipe out Israel. It’s stupid and evil, but they have a reason. Anyway, dream Ellen tags along because she suffers from Scott Tracker Syndrome.

Also, Supergirl is cosplaying as the late Lady Diana.
You may regret that wish, but first I want to note that our lead villain has some good manners.

At least he learned to say "please" and "thank you". Too bad mom didn't teach him not to kill innocent people.
Glider One is just a guy who skis towards the speeding car-like craft our heroes are traveling in. Hey, it’s not my coma-induced nightmare.

"Um, Gord-On, you do know that we have a superpowered girl in our back seat. Should we be wasting our battery like that?" "But it's so darn sci-fi-ish and cool."
That’s right, folks. Supergirl does zero fighting in a Supergirl comic. Seat belts messages are more important. Steve should be luck he didn’t die.
