April 18, 2020 – August 28, 2021

This would be the last section for this logo. Starting with #500 the new logo would be in place. Until then I had more to do, and none of it was fun. The 2020 lockdowns had to conclude, as did the riots, while 2021 brought another surgery to remove a hernia and get a hernia mesh. I played a bit with text message avatars, which I might not have need for again but it was a neat idea at the time. Tom Spex got more exposure here with all the changes at DC and Marvel during the period of the 400s. Little did I know Scrappy-Doo punching James Gunn wouldn’t be the last time I had to get mad at the jerk. He hadn’t ruined a second DC cinematic universe yet. I ran out of Christmas plots, so I just did a New Year’s hope for 2021.

I also took time from the regular stuff for Herodude & Enemies, Jake and Max’s superhero parody, based on an old fictional comic (as in it was fictional in a comic I made in my twenties for fun), but finally planned out and given a story. It gave me something to do with the comic since the entertainment industry was (allegedly) in lockdown as well so nothing was coming out and the stupidity from the celebrities was low. Plus the art buds got to do the “Art Soundoff” challenge, a micro-podcasting challenge I was doing as well. You saw the first batch last time. I’m just glad I didn’t miss any numbers again.
