An evil plot to destroy the world. Enjoy! (Logo for Hulu). (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Of the various video sites out there Hulu has the least annoying ad usage to me. YouTube and Blip repeats the same ads over and over, Dailymotion interrupts every five minutes, but Hulu having more than one ad per break and still manages to seldom if ever repeats, and sometimes you just have to sit through one long ad to get no other ads during the show or movie. Yet there will always be complaints from the nitwits who don’t realize ads are the only reason you get to watch these things for free. But if you want to pay so the service continues to exist, fine. Hulu is looking into an ad-free subscription service in addition to the Hulu Plus bonus video service. Kevin Fitzpatrick of ScreenCrush reports.

Jake & Leon Business Card Strips 2015 (part 2)

The second half of the business card strips for 2015.

The second half of the business card strips for 2015.

So things are now back to normal here at the Spotlight, and hopefully next week at The Clutter Reports. Batman: The Animated Bible returns on Monday as do the DC reviews with Marvel back on Tuesday and two reviews of I-Bots on Friday. There are more videos coming from ConnectiCon 2015, including me hanging out with a bunch of more popular reviewers and the few Press Junkets and Panelling fodder I was able to get. (I may also post others who got to do the interviews and panels I missed, like last night’s posting.) And of course regular Jake & Leon strips return next week. That’s all I have to say here.

Saturday Night ConnectiCon: Voice Actor Movie Reading 2015

The Real Ghostbusters #18

One of the panels I’m really sorry I missed at ConnectiCon 2015 was the Voice Actor Movie Reading. Vocal masters Maurice LaMarche, Janet Varney, Phil LaMarr, Kari Wahlgren, D.C. Douglas, and Bill Farmer read random scenes from Ghostbusters in various voices. I believe Daemon Clark acted as the MC for the event. Lucky for all of us, ConnectiCon was nice enough to post numerous videos from Main Events and this was one of them. Prepare to laugh more than the movie did before.

ConnectiCon logo

The final bit of walking around footage, with some more cool costumes and people having fun. I always try to get at least one of the nighttime gatherings, usually Saturday. Enjoy.
