As an idea man, world building is something I find interesting. As you’ll see as I continue to go through the Batman Animated Bible, there are things only the writers and directors are privy to but they touch on the character’s motivations just the same. Sometimes the creators are also blatantly obvious with character motivations while at other times you need to be Sherlock Holmes to notice a tiny detail that speaks volumes about a character’s motivation. The team of Aaron Short, T.D. Woodward, and Ed Stevens went to Cracked with six such examples. And yes, Mr. Tarantino is involved with one of them.

Kimura ENGLISH ADAPTATION; Elin Winkler TOUCH-UP ART: Pat Kelley COVER COLORIST: ARNie LETTERER: Shon HowellWhile working on the Transformers comic review yesterday (so they would post on time today), I kept seeing potential links to something called Transformers Devastation. Having been out of the loop all year I thought it was another fanfilm, like this stop-motion thing that I didn’t like the ending of. So I decided to look into it, and what I found was…
Yeah, that had my attention. So I hit TFW2005 and checked out the game. There was a video with gameplay and interviews with the creators by IGN and what I saw made me so very happy.

Halloween ComicFest is the Halloween version of Free Comic Book Day. (I guess they feel comics are better than candy or something.) It’s run by the same group and they just yesterday announced their 2015 freebies. Some of them are actually not spooky. Again, don’t forget to buy something while your there and if you see a scalper ruining the day for those of us who are a bit slower, kick him in the gonads for me, would you?

WRITER: Simon Furman PENCILER: Don Figueroa INKER: Elaine To COLORIST: Rob Ruffolo GRAPHIC DESIGN: Kevin Lee LETTERING: Dreamer Design ASSISTANT EDITOR: Matt MoylanChapter by Chapter features me reading one chapter of the selected book at the time and reviewing it as if I were reviewing an episode of a TV show or an issue of a comic. There will be spoilers if you haven’t read to the point I have, and if you’ve read further I ask that you don’t spoil anything further into the book. Think of it as read-along book club.

It’s finally time to (supposedly) meet the horse god that had turned our villain into watered-down chocolate mousse. (Because he’s French and Jell-O would have been too harsh–plus I like chocolate mousse, who doesn’t?) Then again, following history means it could end up showing up for five paragraphs even though he’s in the chapter title.
