Morning Article Link: Arrow & Flash Spinoff

Flash 2014 TV logo

Arrow and The Flash have been doing well for the CW and has formed the shared universe DC is lacking with their other shows and movies. Now in addition to that animated Vixen series, time traveler Rip Hunter is creating another spinoff that will bring in characters (or at least actors) from the other two series plus some new cast members. At least someone seems to know how to do DC TV.

Free Comic Inside: Super Powers Collection with Robin

Free Comic Inside logo

Dick Grayson debuted in April of 1940 in the pages of Detective Comics. I know I’ve been out of the loop lately thanks to everything going on but I wouldn’t have missed a tribute to the first Robin turned Nightwing. And yet I only barely heard about the anniversary just as the month was ending. So I wanted to make the next Free Comic Inside about Robin, which means it’s back to the Kenner Super Powers Collection. Robin had his own action figure and I’m sure they did a good job showing off how cool Robin is.

No, actually, I’m wrong.

Bully continues using Scott McCloud’s Understanding Comics (which you can get through here and get me a stipend) to point out bad panel usage. This time it’s a page from Catwoman that shows how important it is to get your timing right to make sure people hear things when they’re able to hear it. All with simple dialog placement.
