A new year, a new week, a new pull list. Granted, I only today finished reading the comics from the last two weeks, between weather issues and the holidays. However, tomorrow comes the overdue reviews, and the comics listed here should be reviewed in their normal Sunday location. Hopefully, all will be right with the world again, but don’t hold your breath.

And this is the point where I realise I should come up with neat graphics so I can be like all the other comic/entertainment blogs with comic pull list postings. Not because I’m a “go along with the group” kind of guy, when I’m clearly not. I just think they look cool. 🙂 Maybe when ComiXology and WordPress start getting along better (still haven’t heard anything, and I still can’t do plugins on the .com hosting side), but until then…

Maximum Ride #1 {no publisher name given at ComiXology}

I first heard of the novel series through a very well done ad, featuring a flying girl and everything. I looked into the novel, and it does look interesting. Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to read a lot of novels, and it’s one of the collections that are too big for my storage space. Granted, so are comics, but while I’m not sure I’ll buy this trade (especially if my comic store didn’t get any or enough, like Greatest American Hero, I still want to at least look through it. I’ll let you know if I found it interesting.

Super Hero Squad: Hero Up (One Shot) {Marvel}

This cute little comic strip is supposed to be up every weekday at Marvel.com. Supposed to be. For some reason there have been comics that won’t come up and days they don’t even try. They’re fun little one-shot strips, and I’d kind of like to have them around. Don’t confuse them with the Mini-Marvel strips in Marvel Adventures titles, however. These are based on the little cutsey figurines that Hasbro makes, along with the Robot Heroes for Transformers and whatever they called the Star Wars figurines that started the trend.

Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the Eight Grade #2 {DC}

The debut issue was fun from beginning to end that I really want to know what they’re going to do to the poor girl next. I’m sure it will be more fun than psycho mom using dead daddy’s name to start the Kryptonazi movement. The preview introduced Supergirl to Kryptonite, and her “own best frendemy” Belinda Zee. Should be interesting.

The Transformers: Maximus Dinobots #2 {IDW}

More Simon Furman tying up plot threads before Shane McCarthy takes the IDW G1 universe in a more interesting direction, and Nick Roche on art duties. But since it’s Transformers, I’ll be getting it anyway.

Based on current data, I’m assured to get these comics, and therefore my review, on time this week. This is Connecticut, however, so don’t hold your breath. But at least it should be before the next Pull List posting. 🙂

  1. I haven’t heard anything, either. I’ll try again with the WordPress gods-that-be and let you know how it goes.
