The last week of the most historical month in US history (depending on who you ask), and there are only two comics in my pull list this week. You won’t be hearing my wallet complain. So what’s coming?

Greatest American Hero #2 (of 3) {Arcana}

by William Katt, Christopher Folino, Sean O’Reilly & Clint Hilinki

Hopefully there’s an order form so I can get issue #1. With recent reports that Diamond is going to increase the required number of ordered comics, I fear this comic’s future chances of becoming a regular series. Sad to think a comic based on one of my favorite shows won’t get past the miniseries route, but even sadder that I may miss out on a first issue of another series. (The list of series I have that starts with #2 is short, but annoying.)

Batman: The Brave And The Bold #1 {DC}

Written by Matt Wayne; Art by Andy Suriano & Dan Davis; Cover by James Tucker
I love this cartoon. No, really, I LOVE this cartoon! The Bruce Timm/Fox Kids series of the 90’s is still my favorite version of Batman ever and ever, but this show is just so much fun. I also like Clone Wars and wish they’d make more episodes of Ben 10: Alien Force (although they’re probably focusing on the live-action movie, like they did the original Ben 10), Batman: The Brave and the Bold is still my favorite on Cartoon Network’s “Here” Friday night programming block. Hopefully the comic will be just as fun, so long as the writers don’t try to play to close to the mainstream DCU, like DC and Marvel usually do with their animated spin-off comics.

With luck that graphic novel I’ve been reading through will be finished by Sunday and I’ll have another comic to review. Otherwise, this is going to be a cheap week for me.

    I’m sure there will be a way for you to get #1.
    I don’t know where you’re from but William Katt will be at the New York comic con Feb 7th & 8th…
    I will say this. It’s well worth it! The comic and Mr Katt.
    Good luck!

    Sadly, I don’t have the funds to go to Comic Con this year (like every year), and I’m one state over. Also, I wouldn’t be able to take time from work until April.

    Turns out I won’t get this month’s issue until at least next week. Not the first time that’s happened. Luckily, I do have more than one comic to review thanks to back issues.
