It’s rare when I can toot my own horn–mostly because I don’t have the opportunity (for proof, read my “Progress Report” 🙂 ). However, I actually got a mention on the Art & Story podcast. No, not for my not-suck artwork but because of my review of their excellent podcast! (Which I now find more excellent for purely ego reasons. 😀 ) I’ve noted that I’ve been trying to catch up with the podcasts, which is why I only found out about it Saturday, although it was posted August 25th. I’m almost caught up. Now I just have to catch up to the Alive and Extreme! podcasts.
Check in 6 minutes into the podcast, as Mark forgets my name but Jerzy remembers it. (Maybe because I keep dropping my two cents into Jerzy’s Saturday Supercast podcasts? The only reason I’m going for comics over cartoons is that making comics are easier for me. I love cartoons! I’m mostly a DC fan because of Superfriends.) As a bonus, you’ll be hearing an interview with actors/voice actors/writers Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt, who just recently wrote a book about getting into voice acting. (I think they’re self-publishing it as well.) I’m listening to it as I type this, and it’s already interesting. I just wanted to gloat. It’s a rare occasion. 😀
BONUS2: If you’ve been listening to Art & Story Extreme (I’m still a couple months behind), you may have heard one of their intros doing a cover of the theme from The Fall Guy, one of those theme songs you’ll never get out of your head. Well, they’re offering a free download of the parody, The Lonely Cartoonist. Being behind, it’s the first I’ve heard it, and I like it. They’re also offering merchandise with the logo. If I didn’t have too many hats and printed t-shirts already, I’d get something.
