Galvatron does battle with his old leader, Nova Prime, now Nemesis Prime. Nemesis turns out be under the control of D-Void. Galvatron attempts to recruit the Autobots, but both Optimus Prime (in a scene from the “Infection” crossover event) and Rodimus (see in the ongoing last issue) want nothing to do with him, or at least his demands. Galvatron vows to stand alone if he must to stop D-Void.
What they got right: If Galvatron insisted that he alone be in charge of a group attack against a force none of them believe in, I wouldn’t believe him either. Galvatron’s recruitment campaign needs serious work, but it’s in line with the character (who thankfully doesn’t resemble the cartoon version). I like the Nemesis/D-Void design. It is properly creepy, which was the goal.
What they got wrong: Great, the zombie story I avoided for being a zombie story is in canon. Now I have to track it down. Also, the art is still a bit stiff. It’s also more interesting than the main title has been lately.
Recommendation: The next arc is now fully set-up, so this is a must-have for those reading the IDW series.

I think I'd rather deal with Unicron now.
