Jurassic StrikeForce 5 #0

On the surface, you might think Jurassic StrikeForce 5 is just a less crazy, older-targeted version of Super Dinosaur. It does have humanoid dinosaurs running around fighting each other. However, so did Dinosaucers, Extreme Dinosaurs, and technically DinoZaurs. It’s not really a new concept.
In this case, aliens came to Earth and decided that dinosaurs would make a good template for warriors. That’s pretty much all we’re told about the series plot. We do get some character profiles of the upcoming heroes and villains of the series, and from there we learn a bit more. that’s pretty much it.
The art looks amazing, and the action, which involved dinosaurs eating other dinosaurs, isn’t necessarily gory. This doesn’t tell us what the full series is going to be like, but already I can tell their going for an older target audience than Super Dinosaur. This isn’t a bad thing, and the preview at least made me curious about the full series. If my local comic store carries it I will check it out, but nothing really convinced me to special order it, at least not with my current financial and space issues.
