Tragedy? In the New 52? Nah.

Justice League International #6

DC Comics (April, 2012)

“The Signal Masters” epilogue

WRITER/BREAKDOWNS: Dan Jurgens
GUEST PENCILER: Marco Castiello
GUEST INKER: Vincenzo Acunzo
LETTERER: Travis Lanham
COLORS: Hi-Fi
ASSISTANT EDITOR: Darren Shan
ASSOCIATE EDITOR: Harvey Richards
EDITOR: Mike Marts

With Peraxxus and the Signal Men behind them, the JLI mop up after them (and something may have happened to Rocket Red) while Batman and Booster track down the guys who blew up the Hall of Justice. On some downtime, August General and Godiva meet some of their friends, and others try to ruin the team’s big day by blowing everybody up.

What they got right: A good wind-down from the (literally) Earth-shattering events of the previous arc. We finally have a chance to learn a bit about a few of the members and two events set up future stories. The guest-art team do a good job.

What they got wrong: I honestly don’t have any thing to add here.

Recommendation: If you haven’t been picking up this series, now is the time to do so. This is easily my favorite of the New 52 and if we’re stuck with this new continuity and direction for the DC Universe, at least this is still a title I can get behind.

What can I say? It's a good speech.
