Karai goes to a Foot training ground to see her former mentor. With the brainwashed Leonardo taking her position she has begun questioning her place in the Foot and the direction of the clan. Through flashbacks and Leonardo’s interference, have her eyes been opened and what effect will this have on the “City Fall” events?

What they got right: Karai has slowly become my favorite TMNT foe so I’ve been waiting for this one. Of all the backstories in this series hers has been the most interesting for me. It ties-in well with the current events of the main series. The fight between Karai and the brainwashed Leonardo not only tells us how Karai thinks, but maybe something about Leonardo’s condition.

What they got wrong: Is brainwashed Leo going to be this big a jerk? And is there going to be enough time between #24 and #25 for Leo to send many ninja to there deaths as Karai claim?

Other notes: First Alopex and now Karai. Saki has a nasty habit for turning allies into enemies, and the only time he did the reverse he had to use mystical mind control to do it. I don’t see things ending well for the Shredder.

Recommendation: This one and the Alopex ones probably have the most direct influence on possible future events rather than just showcasing the character’s history so these two are important if you follow the main series. You may or may not get into it if you haven’t followed the main series but it might be worth a look if you know what’s happening to Leo right now.

Well, you did ask for it, Leo. Literally.
