There seems to be a difference with how male and female superheroes choose their identity in the Marvel universe. Comics Alliance contributor Andrew Wheeler noticed that some of the heroines either have no superhero name or can’t stick with one (although in the interest of fairness, I give you Hank Pym), sometimes even swapping them with other heroines or even male heroes.
