Video game enthusiasts refer to ET as the worst game ever made, but there are plenty of games made since that are easily worse. Which begs the question, is Manos: The Hands Of Fate still the reigning king of bad movies since it came out in 1966? Surely we’ve failed harder since then.
Thursday the people behind Mystery Science Theater 3000 had their annual Thanksgiving marathon, a resuming of something they did on Comedy Central. It also showed off their new official YouTube page. Produced by current video distributor Shout Factory, there are clips of some of the more popular skits and riffs from MST3K history as well as annotated full-length episodes. No more dealing with people uploading them illegally because if it’s public domain it will show up there, with explanations of some of the riffs you may not have gotten the reference for. It is through this that I finally saw the movie everyone loves to hate, still challenging Tommy Wiseau’s The Room for a riffing favorite. So let’s see if this is still the king of bad movies, or if time has dethroned…Manos: The Hands Of Fate fate fate fate fate…….
