Yesterday I missed that Dynamite labeled the comic “Classic Battlestar Galactica” because it’s not on the cover. I didn’t change yesterday’s article title but just noted the change in the actual review.
Classic Battlestar Galactica #2
Dynamite (2006)
WRITER: Rick Remender ARTIST: Carlos Rafael COLORIST: Carlos Lopez SELECTED COVER ART: Dave Dorman LETTERER: Bill Tortelini
Stadra, leader of the rebels, takes Starbuck back to their base where he learns Boomer is alive. The two of them are forced to give them the bad news. Back on the Galactica, Apollo has to come to terms with losing another person he cares about. (Remember, this isn’t too long after losing Zac.) Meanwhile, the rebels debate and decide to attack the Cylons in the hopes of reaching the fleet, but the Cylons attack them first, thanks to a bug planted on Boomer!
What they got right: The same comments as yesterday. The writing is some of the best I’ve seen in a BSG comic and the art is spot-on to the characters.
What they got wrong: I don’t really have any complaint.
Recommendation: This is a good story. Worth checking out.
