DC Comics is announcing a deal with Mattel to create a series featuring the DC superheroines and supervillianesses targeting women. Apparently it’s an origin story (of course it is) but as my friend Rowdy C Moore pointed out there was a time when you could find shows that catered to BOTH genders so I admit it’s a shame that the girls are being placed “over here” away from the boys. On the other hand, considering their treatment and depiction of the heroines it’s nice to see them do something positive with them. And that’s probably the best Supergirl outfit I’ve seen in years.
