It’s been too long since we’ve had robot-on-robot combat. Let’s change that. Our hero, Faust, is protecting a girl from her dad’s robot, who wants to replace the girl’s brain with hers so she can be human under the misconception that “papa” will love her more I guess. He’s fighting one in a series of robots named after Santa Claus’ reindeer just to prove how evil our robot girl actually is. Bryce the Green-Nosed Reindeer needs to go have a talk with that girl.

“Lights Out” round 5
Fitting since there is a blackout going on in this story courtesy of the bad guys.
The Battlefield: Metal Guardian Faust #5 (Shogakukan by way of Viz Comics; 1997) “Meta-Tron Zone”
The Promoters: Tetsuro Ueyama (writer/artist), Matt Thorn (English adaptation), and Mary Kelleher (touch-up art/letterer)
Faust is getting the daylights zapped out of him by Donner’s power thanks to the titular “Meta-Tron Zone”, which is zapping power from the city and stopping Faust. At least until Rushiha calls for help.
Donner is supposed to bring Rushiha back unharmed but one of his partners, Blitz(en), is kind of a jerk due to being experimental and stuff. Faust’s mission is to keep Rushiha safe. So both react to her cry for help.
Faust can’t save Rushiha until he takes care of his current enemy.

No, no, you’re supposed to be kicking him over a ledge when you say that. Didn’t you see Star Trek 3?
And Donner is about to go flying like his namesake.
So how far can a one-armed robot fly?

One good thing about being a robot is not needed a health plan. Although Obamacare forced him to have one anyway.
Far enough to tick off the groundskeeper.
