Michael Terracciano, the writer of the awesome web comic Star Power, wrote a blog entry on the “eleventh hour villain”, a villain you never saw until the last minute who is the real ultimate bad guy and powerful enough to take our hero down despite all the power and training he/she has gotten up to this point. He goes into why he hates this kind of villain and I kind of agree with him. Then go read the comic because it’s really good and fun.
