Okay, I get it. Somehow ninjas went out of style, or maybe you just don’t like the game version. Well, I’m out of those, so for the last fight before my next hiatus (hopefully the LAST one for the year) we’re going heavy metal.
A popular humanitarian has been kidnapped by his home country’s mad dictator and War Machine wants to save him. This will cause an international incident because those things happen in the Marvel Universe, so Cable wants to keep that from happening. Do you know what else happens in the Marvel Universe? Heroes fighting each other. But I never cared for Cable so let’s do this!
“Karate Kick” round 5
The Battlefield: War Machine #1 (Marvel; April, 1994) “Something To Believe In”
The Promoters: Scott Benson & Len Kaminski (writers), Gabriel Gecko (penciler), Pam Eklund (inker), Ariane (colorist), and John Costanza (letterer)
Cable tried to convince War Machine to go home. When that didn’t work he let his oversized 90s gun tell him to go home.
And of course his gun speaks one language. Violence. Just like the 1990s.
And when guns don’t do it, the old fashioned melee stuff comes out.
So who can win this fight? Well, whose #1 issue is this?
Well, actually Deathlok shows up and breaks the fight up because it’s the last page, but I think we know who won.
