Of the many characters that have taken on the mantle of Robin, be they boy or girl wonders, my favorite is still Tim Drake. While I grew up with Dick Grayson and barely knew Jason Todd or any of the others (there’s also one nobody remembers, Robert Chang, from the really tall computer-generated graphic novel Batman: Digital Justice (look it up–it’s not great but for its time it is interesting) Tim just works perfectly not as Batman’s apprentice but as his partner. Chris Sims of Comics Alliance knows what I’m talking about.
