Of the many characters that have taken on the mantle of Robin, be they boy or girl wonders, my favorite is still Tim Drake. While I grew up with Dick Grayson and barely knew Jason Todd or any of the others (there’s also one nobody remembers, Robert Chang, from the really tall computer-generated graphic novel Batman: Digital Justice (look it up–it’s not great but for its time it is interesting) Tim just works perfectly not as Batman’s apprentice but as his partner.
