I’m back in the fight again, kids! Hopefully this is my last hiatus for a long time. Then again, I fear what else 2016 has planned before it completes it’s trip to the lake of fire where it belongs! Yeah, I hate this year.

And since I’m not back to the daily comic reviews yet I have to remember which comics had a decent fight, and we’re still under the “every fight must have a kick” theme this tournament has had. So while I usually avoid fights with death involved because it’s not my normal style, you have to understand my back is against the wall here. Lucky for me it’s not in a trash strewn alley in New York City. Yet.

“Karate Kick” round 10

I keep wanting to have a Karate Kid comic because that’s what the name reminds me of.

The Battlefield: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1, as reprinted for Free Comic Book Day (Mirage; May, 2009)

The Promoters: Kevin Eastman & Peter Laird

I think we all know where this starts, but I’ll be keeping the black & white blood to a minimum. That’s just my way.

This is why you never cut in line in front of a ninja.

So we’ve met Leonardo (who is narrating) and Donatello (my favorite of the Turtles). Who else do we have?

Somebody forgot to tell this guy not to bring guns to a ninja fight.

Ah, Raphael. He never met a fight he didn’t like. Even pillow fights.

Is this two kicks or three?

And finally Mikey. I knew I smelled pizza. This was long before they got their individually colored bandannas. Or color.

Thanks for posting those pages from the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. A good reminder of how awesome and real they were before “going pop”.
