I’m not what you’d call a “brony”. I’ve watched My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic before and I probably will again, but I’m not a die-hard fan. It is a fun little show that somehow managed to surpass it’s (thankfully still) intended audience of little girls who buy plastic ponies with brushable hair. Although now they apparently have battle vehicles or am I the only one who has seen that ad? I have, however, watched enough of it to have a favorite among the “Mane Six”, and it’s Pinkie Pie, the party-crazy one who just wants to bring fun and laughter to everyone. I’d say we’d need more of that but honestly one Pinkie Pie is more than anypony can handle on a regular basis.

Screw Attack’s Deathbattle series seems to be an odd place to put her in. If your new to this series (which I first learned about when Superman fought Goku and I could have sworn I posted that but it doesn’t look like I did) imagine combining Celebrity Deathmatch with Deadliest Warrior but with more thought put into which fighter would win. Even odder is the opponent chosen for the keeper of the element of laughter, the ultra-violent “merc with a mouth”, Deadpool. I guess it’s based on the fact that both have played games with the fourth wall (Deadpool’s broken the fourth wall so many times I’m surprised Linkara can still stand atop it), but it still sounds like something you’d expect on April Fools Day, not just around Christmas.

So what happens when the crazy assassin goes up against the ultimate party pony? Even the hosts, Wiz and Boomstick, aren’t ready for this one, kids.

That’s not how they usually end. But that was more fun. 😀 For more definitive death battle victories between characters of different fictional realities check out the Death Battle playlist on the Screw Attack YouTube channel. I’m ending this year on a high note, if only on this site!
