I didn’t collect the Micronauts toys back in the day, nor have I read any of the comics from Marvel or those who picked up the series afterwards. I do have a fansub of the first few episodes of the Microman anime. (Microman is the Japanese toyline that Micronauts came from…a decade or more before the anime came out.) But I know some of you out there might have, so you’ll like to hear that an animated Micronauts animated series (not the anime officially released in the US but an original series) is currently being shopped plus a movie (I’m assuming live-action) from Paramount is in the works from Hasbro’s movie division, Allspark Pictures. My advice to Hasbro: DON’T go with Cartoon Network! Look how they mistreated Transformers: Robots In Disguise!

I was never into Micronauts either. Back in the day, I do remember the toys being advertised in those giant department store catalogs (anybody remember those from the 70s and 80s?). My thing was Star Wars, not Micronauts. Actually, what excites me more than a Micronauts movie was the link in that same article to the fact that a Dungeons and Dragons movie will hit the big screens early next decade. As a former D and D player, that’s news which sparks my interest. Also, I didn’t know that Vin Diesel used to play D and D. He has expressed an interest in being part of the movie. Let me guess, when Vin played D and D, he like to portray an orc character?
