When the first Amazing Spider-Man hit theaters the LA Times’ “Hero Complex” section interviewed Nicholas Hammond, who played the first live-action Spider-Man (unless The Electric Company did theirs first or maybe the Japanese one) on television. I know the show has it’s detractors but for the time, TV budget, and mistreatment by CBS’s scheduling department I thought it was pretty good. I remember when USA used to air the series on Thanksgiving and I watched as much as I could of it around dinner.
