Just when I thought I couldn’t be less interested in Quentin Tarantino’s Joker origin movie (because not having an origin before his acid bath is part of his character), director Todd Philips releases a camera test of “Arthur” (I guess that’s supposed to be the pre-Joker’s name in this movie) that makes it worse. For one thing he looks like he’s wearing makeup. This is one of the problems I had with Christopher Nolan’s version. The Joker doesn’t wear makeup. The bleached skin, green hair, and red lips that make him resemble the joker card designs is a result of the chemical bath he fell in that warped his mind as well. And it looks like an actual clown rather than the Joker. This isn’t Pennywise, it’s the Joker! Apparently Philips just hates clowns or something. Well, this is BW Media Spotlight. Around here clowns are awesome.
And their “clown” is no Joker.
