Through The Retroist I learned about this completed Kickstarter and it looks like it was funded. It’s a Robotech and Rainbow Brite set of games done in those old Coleco handheld arcade style games. Only instead of a bunch of random lights indicating where Pac-Man is, a modern mini LCD screen gives you Game Boy Advance level sprites and gameplay. Did anyone out there back this, and did you actually get one? Were they any good or was it a scam?

I never had one of those mini-arcade games, but I always wanted one when I was a kid. The Donkey Kong mini-arcade game is the one I remember seeing in stores in the 1980s such as Toys R Us. This Robotech mini-arcade game looks like something I’d be interested in now if the price is not too high.

Actually, the price looks kind of high to me for the size of the mini-arcade game. But the Robotech game does look rather interesting. By looking at the screen, I can definitely tell that the action is taking place on Macross Island.
