When a show gets popular enough there’s always someone looking to make a cheap knockoff in hopes of fooling the public, and Doctor Who. This is a bit different from fan films like Professor What, which only exists out of a love of the series, or homages like Inspector Spacetime from Community (which I’ve only heard of as I don’t watch the show) or Doctor Zone from Milo Murphy’s Law (which I have both seen and promoted). These are just cheap cash grabbers going after a particular fandom.

From the YouTube channel Quinton Reviews here’s a look at one particular knockoff featuring an actual Doctor and a few Companions. Sort of. Let me introduce you to…The Stranger.

  1. Sean says:

These Doctor Who fan films were good in that they at least kept some type of Doctor Who programming going in the 1990s after the BBC had ended up abandoning the Doctor. But I do wonder this: why was Ace partially nude in so many of these films or covers? Was there a valid reason why we could see her nude from the waist up with back turned on the audio drama cover?
