WARNING: Total spoilers for Knives Out and some for The Last Jedi.
I haven’t seen it but it’s not my genre anyway. However, as a general storytelling examination I still find it fascinating. It shows that subversion itself isn’t a bad thing, but how you do it. It’s worth taking a closer look at as a writing discussion so here’s The Closer Look. Note there is some swearing but it fits.
