Honestly I used to like Geek videos but he has become too bitter, condescending and cynical for me. The guy complains about studios not listening or respecting the fans but when they give fans the Sunderland JL cut, he calls them idiots and part of the problem. He clearly does not respect the opinions of others. I liked him when he was likeable, showed love for his content and respected his fans. Now I just cannot stand his condescending and obnoxious attitude.
I think he’s just gotten tired of seeing support for more derivative versions of long-standing iconic properties be defended. He believes that these are modern mythologies and serve a cultural purpose so seeing support for the Snyder Cut of Justice League for example, knowing that Snyder’s views on superheroes run counter to how the DC universe operates (Superman needing to become aspirational instead of just being so, Batman killing) gets on his nerves. I think he’s a bit hard on The Mandalorian because he is understandably so against what Abrams, Johnson, and Kennedy did with it that anything remotely tied to the DisneyFilm movies upsets him, but I do see his point as well.
