With the arrival of the Star Force the tide turns in the heroes’ favor. The Dark Nebula forces aren’t prepared for their unique tactics and skills, but the enemy are tricky. They set up over the city so that the Yamato can’t fire their weapons. So Alex makes a desperate gambit to cause an explosion that will send Iscandar into another warp, though Sandor has to keep the enemy off of him. Surprised again, the Dark Nebula forces are an easy target for the wave motion gun, but the planet is caught in the gravity of a star and the crew may not be able to get Starsha and Alex out in time.
I haven’t talked about the articles but there is an interesting one about how the Yamato was not the early transport planned, but a ship made of rock. That might have been interesting.
What they got right: There’s a lot of action in this one and it’s drawn beautifully. You can tell what’s happening, and it isn’t easy for the Star Force. They have to use tactics and surprise to beat the enemy, and one of those tactics kind of backfires. It’s a good cliffhanger.
What they got wrong: I don’t really have any complaints. It’s just really good.
What I think overall: For one writer and artist whose only back-up is the colorist this is a really well-drawn book that looks like the characters from the show and movie this is based on. They cut at the right spot and this was fun to read.
