Okay, so here’s the Jake & Leon I started to come up with: Daffy Duck is trying to talk his way into heaven with Bugs Bunny looking on embarrassed, which would mark the passing of Eric Bauza, the last person to voice those characters. Thinking now I could have done something to note Mel Blanc, something like the angel going “didn’t we go over this last time?” maybe. Meanwhile, for Walter Koenig’s passing, Chekov is getting frustrated waiting his turn while Bester is taking notes because he probably deserves to be there less than Daffy. (Note that Daffy is my favorite Looney Tune.) It might have made for a fun tribute…and then the Grim Reaper kept going. Do I work Picard and Professor Xavier in there somehow for Patrick Stewart? Does Susan St. James, an actress my mom actually met and started a radio station here in Connecticut, deserve more than a mention by Jake and Leon in the host panel, and would anyone recognize her characters? Then some actress I never heard of took her own life. Dad saw a rumor on Facebook about Michael J. Fox passing, though that appears to be false since nobody’s mentioned it anywhere. It’s been that kind of week. My condolences to all their family, friends, and fans. Their loss is worse than mine.
Hell, before this went live I just found out that John Leeson, the voice of my favorite Doctor Who Companion, K9, passed away this weekend. STOP THIS!
Hopefully this week is better, but I didn’t have time to make the new idea. Plans for next week. The gang gets to enjoy an extended anniversary break, I guess.
Mild insomnia was also a factor this week, so this week’s Clutter Report took an easy one as I did some more cataloging. This time it was my software, which is going to be a separate list from my games. It’s not complete so I can’t pull it from the 2026 declutter goals yet, but I did get most of it done. Hopefully by next weekend it will be done, because between Captain Yuletide and seriously needing income due to new work rules my insurance is in trouble. Hoping for part time work at home, but things have gotten a bit desperate now. Not mad because I know the economy is a mess but it seems like everytime the medical distractions are done for the year something else has to keep me from moving forward, and I finally have a workable creation schedule to push forward from. My host is the only one that makes money from this site’s ads and I need to come up with something.
Not sure what role Daylight Savings Time had. Hope everyone in the affected time zones have their clocks set right. The US just did the “fall back” thing.
So the comic made way for building up the buffer to free time to find some form of minimum income. I’ll still have the next Chapter By Chapter review of Star Trek: The IDIC Epidemic, and in between looking into options I should hopefully be able to keep the current posting schedule going. I just can’t promise things will get funky in the future…just as I’m ready to move ahead. Again. Wish me luck and have a great week, everyone! Hope your Halloween was a safe and fun experience.
