Yes, this was an actual hoax, not that anybody I knew believed it. Either NASA had learned of a cosmic event that was going to kill the gravity for a few second, or were causing it themselves, depending on where you looked. There was an eclipse (not much of one in Connecticut skies) and a planetary alignment. I think someone just got spooked. Panic is easy on the internet.
I was going to have Leon be the one to come up with the idea of using Fizzbin’s ship to go into space and let Beth go weightless for a bit, but somehow I thought Bill doing something for his daughter seemed more appropriate.
