I wonder if adding Hoppy would have saved "Magic of Shazam"?

Tiny Titans #37

DC Comics (April 2011)

WRITER/ARTIST: Art Baltazar
CO-WRITER: Franco
EDITOR: Kristy Quinn
Wait, a DC comic with less that 8 people in the credits?

There’s not a whole lot I can say about this comic. I bought it because I wanted to see how Baltazar & Franco, who had written Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam!, would do with them in this story. Tiny Titans is one of those comics that by nature can’t really be reviewed by individual issues. It’s a series of comedic shorts, although at least in this issue jokes will be referenced more than once.

For example, we see the Super pets taking naps, Psimon trying to get a lightning bolt shirt similar to the Marvels  (granted, I wouldn’t mind one myself and I have Leon owning one), and Tawky Tawny as both the kids’ math teacher and Mary Marvel’s addition to the Pet Club.

While the comic isn’t one I’d pick up on a regular basis I do understand why it has such a strong fan base, even outside of the young audience intended for it. Tiny Titans is a fun comic with an interesting use of the younger DC characters. If you haven’t checked it out, try picking an issue up, or even the sampler at the next Free Comic Book Day and see what the hype is all about.
