On the other hand...FREE COMICS!
That’s right, kids. This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day!
Set this year to coincide with the Thor movie, FCBD is an event to attempt to get people into the comic stores. These are free samplers of comics coming out, some stories that were already paid for, and the occasional original story.
This year I will live Tweeting my reviews of the free comics I pick up. (After a haircut, shopping and probably lunch.) You can follow me on Twitter (along with the escort service…why am I being followed by an escort service?) or just follow the hashtag #BW-FCBD and see my reviews all day long. If you don’t want to do that I’ll collect them for a special edition of the Weekly Wrap-Up instead of news events. (There won’t even be a This Week’s Cracked.)
