In the first story, the Doctor is feeling dejected but saving a cell culture species lifts his spirits. In the second, taking the other two “parts” of the comic, The Doctor teams with an investigation team to handle a monster that kills by fear.
What they got right: Both stories are good, introducing different concepts that still works in the world of Doctor Who. In the first we see how the 7th Doctor handles being without a companion. In the second a good mystery with a good sci-fi twist.
What they got wrong: Unless there were no stories between #139 and #143, why were those stories skipped?
Recommendation: A good comic that shows off what the 7th Doctor can do when he isn’t manipulating people. Worth picking up.
