Sonic The Hedgehog #230
Archie Comics (December, 2011)
WRITER: Ian Flynn PENCILER: Ben Bates INKER: Terry Austin COLORIST: Matt Herms LETTERER: John Workman COVER: Ben Bates VARIANT COVER ART: Sega EDITOR: Paul Kaminski
Reality has been restored, but Eggman isn’t prepared to back down. Sonic was able to save Sal in the aftermath of the restoration, but to save Mobius she will have to make the ultimate sacrifice (depending on how you rank death in comparison) which will lead into the next arc.
What they got right: Restoring continuity (although I wouldn’t mind the “Genesis” continuity getting it’s own series “Ultimate Spider-Man” style, maybe as a web comic or something) for starters. I was worried it would be like the DC reboot. And I kind of like the story arc they have planned with Sally.
What they got wrong: Although it seems like bad timing, since restoring reality means also dealing with Ixis Naugus. One storyline at a time, guys.
Recommendation: I would definitely call this a comic worth reading. I’m looking forward to what’s coming up next.
I would have a Best Scene, but it would be the last few pages, and that’s a bit long for Best Scene.
