Cartoon Network Action Pack #65

DC Comics (January, 2012)

WRITERS: Rob Hoegee & Eugene Son
ARTIST: Min S. Ku
COLORIST: Chris Beckett
LETTERER: Dezi Sienty
EDITOR: Michael McCalister
COVER: Mike Coallaro

Both series created by Man of Action

In a sequel to the recent Ben 10/Generator Rex team-up special, Rex ends on Ben’s Earth when the Pack is seeking an element that can allow them to rescue their mentor. Rex teams with Ben and his friends to stop them and return Rex and the Pack to their universe.

What they got right: As usual in this series the art and characterizations are in line with their respective TV shows.

What they got wrong: However, while the action was good the character interactions were very basic except for Kevin’s mini-feud with Rex with felt forced and went nowhere. Also, I remember why I stopped watching this edition of Ben 10 as the whole fame thing I feel is a distraction from why I watched this series.

Recommendation: Like the previous issues before I stopped picking it up, it doesn’t really do anything bad but it also doesn’t do anything worthwhile. Save you money for the show unless your that huge a fan.
