Here at the Spotlight I’ve posted stories about people using video games to propose to their intended wives. I can find videos of those but it’s rare that I can find video of a comic book proposal. I’m sure there were others. I remember when David Willis (you may remember him from my ConnectiCon interviews, second video stars his face, if you haven’t read his comic) used his Shortpacked webcomic to propose to his girlfriend (now his wife–I’ve met her, nice girl). Add to this David Solomon. (Maybe it’s a “David” thing.) As far as I know Solomon isn’t a comic creator ordinarily but he is a fan and this is how he met the woman he wanted to marry. So gathering his friends to help, Solomon produced a comic to not only show his love for his intended, but to ask her to be his bride.

Congratulations to the couple. Hopefully it isn’t undone by a Satan analog or a reality-altering event. (Yes, I did have to add that, why ask?) You can read the comic for yourself thanks to IO9.
