Sonic The Hedgehog #237
Archie Comics (July, 2012)
WRITER: Ian Flynn INKER: Terry Austin COLORIST: Matt Herms LETTERER: John Workman ASSISTANT EDITOR: Vincent Lovallo EDITOR: Paul Kaminski “LOYALTY” part one: “The Right To Rule” PENCILER: Steven Butler “HEART TO HEART” PENCILER: Tracy Yardley (also worked on cover with Austin & Herms)
In the main story, Team Fighters visits the Wolf Pack just as Eggman (whose flying fortress is losing more power due to events in Sonic Universe) sends Mecha Sally to kidnap Lupe and the Felidae queen, Hathor. Hathor escapes but without her royal clothes is now just an emissary and Eggman has plans for Lupe. In the second (and long overdue) story, Mina attempts to repair what she’s done to Nicole, starting with apologizing.
What they got right: The return of T-Pup! YAY! Also it’s nice to see the Wolf Pack again as they’re some of my favorite of our heroes’ allies. Every visit is interesting and while I don’t think they could care a whole series on their own I hope they get a Sonic Universe arc soon. Something else I’ve been waiting for is to see Mina realize how she went a bit too far and screwed up her intended message. Seeing her try to make peace with Nicole helped me forgive her, too.
What they got wrong: I’m still trying to get use to the weird way clothes work in the Felidae culture.
Recommendation: One of the better Sonic stories and very much recommended.

You just can’t build good help these days.
