I still maintain that Kyle Rayner is the best Green Lantern ever, and that’s from a guy who grew up with Hal Jordan. Tonight I bring another moment in Kyle awesomeness.
Hands of Stone round 9
The Battlefield: Adventures in the DC Universe #16 (DC Comics; July, 1998) “The Fix”
The Promoters: Steve Vance (writer), John Delaney (penciler), Ron Boyd (inker), Janice Chiang (letterer), and Bob LeRose (colorist)
Joined by Green Arrow Connor, Kyle ends up fighting guys Roy used to hang out with during his druggie days.

Someone was watching Ghidorah movies last night.
Would Hal fight bad guys with Ghidorah? I rather doubt it.

Seconded. At least when he was written properly.

The only reason I never got into the series was the way they killed off Alex. I thought their interaction was part of what made the series work post-Hal and I wanted to see more of that. Then she’s horribly murdered and I wasn’t sure I wanted to read a comic that I suspected would be more angst for the sake of angst, the “Batmaning” of the DCU, which still continues on today.
