Doctor Who isn’t the first series for the USS Enterprise to cross over with. Back when Marvel had the Paramount license, they had the first two Star Trek series team with the X-Men. There was even a novel with a second meeting between the TNG crew and the mutants. Tonight’s entry is from the comic and features one of my favorite things to see: Wolverine Abuse! YAY!

“Double M” round 8
The Battlefield: Star Trek: The Next Generation/X-Men (Marvel/Paramount Comics; May, 1999) “Second Coming”
The Promoters: Dan Abnett & Ian Edginton (writers), Cary Nord (penciler), Scott Koblish (inker), John Kalisz (colorist), and Chris Eliopoulos (letterer)
Long story short: During the First Contact movie a “deleted scene” has NCC-1701-D arrive over the Marvel Earth and Geordi and Data end up in the X-Mansion looking for Shi’Ar tech that in their universe shouldn’t be there. Yes, apparently the Shi’Ar also exist in the Star Trek universe. Maybe they hand out with the Sontarans or something. Surprisingly, a bunch of superpowered warriors struggling to survive against aliens, other mutants, and even the people they protect get a bit jumpy when people teleport into their house unannounced.
Oh, I’m not sorry, Data. I’m not sorry at all.
