Desperate times call for desperate measures. As much as I have a problem with Liefeld, Loeb, and anyone else attached to Heroes Reborn the Avengers comic I reviewed this week had two fun moments. The other I’m saving in reserve but this one is one of those fights that doesn’t involve fists or lasers or the like. They can be fun, too.

“Battling Jack” round 7
The Battlefield: The Avengers Vol 2 #6 (Marvel Comics’ “Heroes Reborn” event; April, 1997) “A Hard Day’s Night”
The Promoters: Rob Liefeld & Jeph Loeb (story), Ian Churchill (penciler), Jon Sibol & Larry Stacker (inkers), Andy Troy (colorist, plus he had a separator AND a “enhancement” person…and it’s STILL overdone and dark), and Comicraft (letters)
So SHIELD is off to what’s left of Avengers Island. Iron Man (secretly Tony Stark) doesn’t want them there. Also, Nick Fury is being bothered by Loki like Q bothers Captain Picard. Let the fun begin.
This version of Nick can be a jerk so he kind of deserved it. I’m not sure he deserves Loki, though.
Head To Spacebooger.com and vote for your favorite Friday Night Fight. (Forum membership is NOT required to vote, only to comment.) Winners of these 12 rounds head to the Prize Fight so feel free to join in. We could use the competition.
