Roxy Rocket (who I just found out was created for the Annual…I need to go add that to the review when I’m done here) declared on television that she was giving up crime. Catwoman saw an opportunity, borrowed Roxy’s look, and stole a statue while making it look like it was Roxy. However, Batman knows Roxy is innocent. And so does Roxy. Selina’s in trouble.
“Wildcat” round 3
The Battlefield: The Batman Adventures Annual #1 (DC Comics, 1994) “Going Straight”
The Promoters: Paul Dini (writer), Bruce Timm (artist for this part of the comic), Rick Taylor (colorist), and Richard Starkings & Comicraft (lettering)
Batman reaches Selina before she can fly off with her prize. Now that the cat is out of the bag (I’m not sure if I had to or not), Catwoman fights back.
But even when Catwoman gets the drop on Batman she isn’t safe. Remember, she impersonated a woman who rides a giant rocket. Gentle is not the first thing coming to my mind describing her.
And yet this is still Catwoman, who manages to get Roxy off of her rocket and threaten Batman with doing her damage.
And Roxy decides to prove that she’s a good fighter on the ground as well as the air.
Note to Selina: Do NOT make that woman mad!
