Princess of Power #1

Actually, you know tonight’s entry by a different name most likely: He-Man & She-Ra: The Secret Of The Sword. This was the one good movie from Filmation’s run before they made mediocre sequels to classic fairy tales Disney adapted. While not the first time this has happened, Secret Of The Sword is actually the first five episodes of She-Ra: Princess Of Power, the girl’s version of He-Man that boys could watch as much as the girls could watch He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe.

For as long as it up (the channel claims to be the official She-Ra channel, complete with the same kind of banner art but are just the shows and none of the trivia and skits of the Official He-Man Channel) this playlist will run all five episodes of the show that formed the movie. You’ll see scenes and moments that weren’t in the movie, which is why I wanted to post this version. It’s collected as the five chapter story under the original name, “The Sword Of She-Ra”. You’ll also note that the opening for the first few episodes hides who She-Ra is (to not spoil it for anyone who hadn’t seen the movie version) before following the brother show’s opening formula. As for the movie, I have plans for it in the future.

If you want to see more episodes this page seems to be the official She-Ra channel. And I know this is the official He-Man channel, although it hasn’t updated in a while and doesn’t have all the episodes. There are some interesting trivia and episode commentaries though. Just avoid the comedy sketches. They aren’t very good, unless it’s just my comedic tastes.

Thanks for the info and links on how to see these shows. I’m too tired now to watch any of it, but I will another day. That’s some great cover art for the movie poster. Filmation truly was a master (no pun intended) in the animation world back in the 70s and 80s. Their artwork is vividly colorful and breath taking. Filmation and Hanna Barbera is what I consider to be classic art.

I just checked the DC Comics site. He-Man/Thundercats Issue #2 comes out on Wednesday, November 16th…so in the middle of the month instead of at the beginning of the month like I thought due to the fact that Issue #1 came out during the first week of October. The cover art looks awesome!
